Apprenticeship Programs
An Apprenticeship is a relationship between an employer and an employee during which employee, or apprentice, learns a highly skilled occupation. The programs consist of a combination of both classroom and on the job training. More 

ANNOUNCEMENT
The purpose of the NJBUILD Newark Program is to provide pre-apprenticeship training, basic skills instruction, workforce readiness (employability skills) instruction and a structured work experience which will emphasize vocational-based training for entry-level skills in the construction trades.  The program will seek to facilitate effective transitions by women and minorities of Newark, New Jersey to high-skill, high-age employment in labor demand occupations that are apprenticeable. 


Due to significant construction activity which is expected in Newark, New Jersey, the training will be delivered in Newark and participants must be residents of Newark.
